As features writer at thelondonpaper from launch (when I was the sole writer on staff) to closure I covered hundreds of subjects around the capital.

The glamorous: travelling to Buenos Aires to learn the tango, Miami to get a grip on American football and Soho for a lesson in striptease from Immodesty Blaize.

The serious: Covering the 2008 US elections in Chicago, the fallout from the smoking ban, and experiencing racial abuse towards traffic wardens at first hand.

The geeky: Checking out the Tube trains of the future, patrolling the Thames with the RNLI lifeboat team, and touring the sewers of London with the Thames Water flushers.

The dedicated: Trying the lunchtime "boob jab" surgery in the hope of getting Jennifer Aniston's cleavage, opening up about my (unrelated) perennial singledom for Company magazine, learning about love by marrying a sandwich in Vegas for Racked.

I've also written film and theatre reviews for thelondonpaper, and review most things - from restaurants and concerts to wedding chapels and strip shows - in Las Vegas.
